 Brenda Girvin - 'The Lower Fourth' - a delightful
book relating life and 'goings on' and the forming of a group named 'The Witenagemot' in a girls school pre 1940. A lovely book, with some foxing and dog eared, and with some loose pages, but nevertheless a wonderful collector's item. There are illustrated colour plates (2). The inside front cover has a penned name so obviously was a gift to someone! The back few pages of the book give listings of other stories for girls.
